Emancipation Day Celebration

July 22, 2021 Jamaica Fdn Hamilton
unnamed.png

The Afro Canadian Caribbean Association (ACCA), invites you to an event commemorating Emancipation Day on Sunday, August 1st from 1pm til 2 pm.

This event will not only serve to commemorate and educate our community members on Emancipation Day, but to launch our new Black History Activity book for children. Designed by Aaron Parry, the 10 page activity and drawing book about local Black history will serve to foster cultural pride by introducing young people to the rich history and contributions to Canada and the Greater Hamilton Area.

We are thrilled to have Queen Cee and Josh Taylor as co-hosts for our special event.

Our engaging program will include performances from ACCA drumming students, games and special guest speaker and book creator Aaron Parry. We invite the whole family to join us on zoom on August 1st.
