Pickeny Arts Program
Pickney Arts Program
April 18 – June 13, 2026 | 8 Weeks | Ages 8–12
Location: AGH Education Space
The Pickney Arts Program is a free immersive creative experience for children ages 8–12. Through guided gallery exploration and hands-on studio practice, participants will discover new ways to see, think, and express themselves through art.
Each session begins in the gallery, where children engage with featured exhibitions through conversation and reflection. Inspired by what they observe, they move into the studio to create original works while developing foundational art skills such as drawing, composition, color theory, texture exploration, and mixed media experimentation.
Parents and caregivers are welcome to stay with their child(ren) or enjoy a complimentary gallery tour.
This program nurtures creativity, confidence, and joyful learning in a welcoming space where culture is expressed, preserved, interpreted, and shared.
